Dr. Nahida Nayaz Ahmed is an Emarati Consultant Psychiatrist, who serves as Chair or Behavioral Health Council at SEHA- Abu Dhabi, and Chair of mental health task force at Department of Health, Abu Dhabi UAE.
Dr. Ahmed graduated from psychiatry residency from St Elizabeth, a Tuft’s university hospital in Psychiatry residency and Consultation Liaison fellowship from Cambridge Health Alliance, a Harvard University hospital. Her primary focuses are the integration of Psychiatry in Primary care clinics across Abu Dhabi, and promoting awareness and rehabilitation programs for Mentally ill patients in the community. She has been on the front line for changes in Mental health across the country. Her efforts are rallied towards evolving UAE’s mental health care into a modernized and futuristic service. She has been an advocate for employee’s mental health, especially through COVID by establishing Psychological resources for SEHA employees and has contributed to various other mental health initiatives across the country. She is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychiatry at UAEU.
Dr. Ahmed has been active in teaching psychiatry and family medicine residents and mentors young physicians. She is an avid reader, travel enthusiast, mother to three amazing children, and spouse to a distinguished Transplant Nephrologist.

Prof. Emmanuel Stip, MD is professor of psychiatry and Chair of the department since Summer 2019. Previously he was a professor at the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Montreal (UdeM). He has been practicing psychiatry in Montreal, Abiti, Vancouver (UBC), and Caen (Normandy) and was a clinician-researcher at the Centre Hospitalier of the University of Montreal (CHUM) and at the Institute (IUSMM). He was also Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry from 2009 to 2017 at UdeM. His research interests evolve around neuropsychology and cognition, phenomenology, brain imaging, psychopharmacology, global mental health and history of psychiatry. Dr. Fahad Ahmed Aftab Khan is a Family Medicine Consultant, who is currently working as a Core Teaching Faculty / Supervisor for Family Medicine Residency Program at AHS-SEHA, Lead Family Physician for Chronic Disease Management & integration of Mental Health Care in Primary Care. Dr Khan graduated from Dow Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan and completed his Postgraduate Training in UK with specialisation in Family Medicine/General Practice and further gained Membership of Royal College of General Practitioners ( UK ) with Certificate of Completion of Training by General Medical Council ( UK ).
Dr. Ghanem a consultant psychiatrist who obtained his fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry from Kings College London at UK. He is a Member of the American Psychiatric Association and has been working for SEHA as a consultant Psychiatrist since 2012. He also hold a positon as adjunct Associate Professor of Psychiatry at College of Medicine at UAEU and KU. In addition, to his clinical role, Dr Ghanem has obtained a degree in Health Care Administration that he applied to support SEHA as a leading Health Care organization. Before moving to SEHA HQ as the Group Education Director, he has been appointed at Al Ain Hospital as Chair of Academic Affairs and later on as Deputy Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Hawraa Sajwani is a Consultant Psychiatrist specialized in Adult and Addiction Psychiatry, holding an MSc in Addiction Studies, the ISAM certification, MRCPsych and the Arab Board in Psychiatry. She has 10 years of experience in Psychiatry including two years of fellowship training in Addiction Psychiatry from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) – United States, and two years in Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry from UHN - University of Toronto - Canada. Dr. Jigna Stott is a UK trained Consultant Psychiatrist who is trained in General Adult Psychiatry, Old age Psychiatry and Liaison Psychiatry. Dr. Saad is a Senior Clinical psychologist with over 14 years of experience between the US and the UAE. He holds a doctoral degree in psychology with a focus on Couples and Family Therapy from the California School or Professional Psychology. During his tenure in the US, Dr. Saad worked in a variety of clinical settings, ranging from community mental health clinics to private practises, he also worked as a mentor to psychology interns as well . Dr. Saad is a California-Board Certified psychotherapist. He is currently the chief of psychology at SKMC. On top of his clinical work, Dr. Saad also provides supervision for mentorship to beginning psychologists in AD.
