Khalifa University
Fatima Alqubati is an MD candidate at Khalifa University (KU). She completed her bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering at KU, where she was recognized for her academic excellence and graduated with high honors. She currently serves as the MD class of 2026 vice representative, where she represents her fellow students and facilitates communication between students and university leadership.
She has been involved with community service initiatives such as volunteering at the university to teach students about cardiopulmonary resuscitation as well as leading medical education sessions that help to inspire and encourage scientific curiosity in children.
Fatima has a special interest in mental health and clinical psychiatry. She has been actively involved in the Abu Dhabi Integrated Mental Health Conferences. In the 3rd and 4th editions, she participated as a speaker and discussed addressing mental health issues from a health systems perspective and methods to integrate mental health throughout medical education. For the 5th edition, she will contribute as a part of the organizing committee that will help shape the event and the impact that it has.
