Dr. Mitha Albalushi is a research associate in the public health research center in the New York university Abu Dhabi. She is and alumni of HARVARD School of Public Health and alumni of the institute of public health of the college of medicine and health sciences of the UAE University. She had her master’s in public health from the UAEU and her master’s in clinical care from Sweden, Malmo and Skuna care University. Her bachelor’s in nursing science from Griffith Australian university.

Had clinical experience of 20 years in clinical care (inpatient-outpatient) and had worked as a Specialist Nurse in Tawam Hospital, Corniche Hospital and Imperial College London Diabetes Center and last 8 years in the PHRC-NYU Abu Dhabi.

She is one of the researchers of the team of the UAE Healthy Future Study of the Public Health Research Center of New York University-Abu Dhabi, Dr Mitha publications as first author in high impact medical journals and co-authors from different affiliation in the world such as Harvard. She is a reviewer for Plos one and global public health journals and she reviews abstracts for conferences such as European public health conferences. She is a member of the Emirates Public Health Association since 2019.
