Noof M. Aljneibi is a Quality of Life and Sustainability Development Advisor at the Ministry of Community Development in the United Arab Emirates. With over 12 years of experience working with leaders in the UAE and international researchers, she brings a wealth of expertise in promoting well-being and evidence-based policies. Previously, Noof served as the Director of the Emirates Centre for Happiness Research (ECHR) at the United Arab Emirates University, where she played a key role in establishing the region’s first research center dedicated to happiness. In this role, she led strategic partnerships, conducted research and analysis, and advocated for critical policy reforms in well-being.
Noof’s contributions extend to various areas of well-being. She was instrumental in curating the United Arab University framework for well-being, focusing on promoting well-being within the university community and serving as a model for well-being policies nationwide. She also spearheaded the Well-being Officer project, a multi-sectoral initiative that involved faculty and staff committed to fostering well-being in the workplace. In addition to her work in the government sector, Noof is actively involved as a team member of the Rekhi Foundation for Happiness, an organization dedicated to creating and teaching courses on happiness and well-being. In collaboration with the foundation, she contributes to developing and delivering impactful programs aimed at enhancing happiness and well-being in individuals and communities.
Noof holds a Master’s degree in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania (PENN), where she was recognized as the class representative. In 2020, she was appointed as an Advisor at Happiness Foundation Strategy, an organization that promotes well-being policies in India. In 2021, Noof was honored with the International Positive Psychology Fellow award, becoming the first female Arab recipient of this prestigious fellowship.
