Adel BinHdaya AlFalasi is a stroke survivor who became a mental health advocate after discovering, with the help of his doctor, Dr. Nahida, that he suffers from complex mental health illnesses. Through his artistic expression, Adel courageously battles the stigma of being labeled “possessed” transforming personal struggles into a mission to inspire and empower others. Recognized as the Mental Health Hero of 2023, he has shared his story on prestigious platforms such as the Abu Dhabi Integrated Mental Health Conference 2024 and the Global Mental Health Community Summit in Lisbon city. As a judge for The Mentl Awards 2024, Adel continues to break barriers, raise awareness, and foster inclusivity through his advocacy and creativity.
