Claudia Foakes is a Consultant Systemic Family Psychotherapist and Head of Psychological Therapies for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Services for EPUT NHS Trust in Essex, England.  She has been working in child and adolescent mental health (community and inpatient) in the UK for 26 years.  She has been a qualified family therapist for over 20 years, a systemic supervisor for 15 years, an EMDR therapist since 2018 and a DBT therapist since 2021.  She is passionate about making the cultural shift to trauma informed care and reducing restrictive practice, across all areas of service delivery.
