Dr. Louise Lambert, PhD. is a registered psychologist (Canada), researcher, program developer and former professor. She has lived in the UAE for 22 years doing organizational consulting, as well as teaching and research in happiness and wellbeing. Her expertise is in positive psychology and the empirical strategies used to attain greater subjective wellbeing in healthcare organizations, private sector companies as well as government entities in the region. She has 30+ peer-reviewed publications in the application of positive psychology interventions in Canada and the GCC. She is the Head of Happiness Programming & Policy with HappinessMatters.org and currently a health and wellbeing advisor in a global megaproject. Her work includes the design, delivery and assessment of the (1) positive health program with the Red Deer Primary Care Network (Lambert D’raven et al., 2015) (2) positive education programs at UAE’s Dubai College (Lambert et al., 2022) and Kuwait’s Al Nowair Foundation (Lambert et al., 2019, 2023) and (3) similar employee, managerial and senior leadership training programs with companies like Cigna Insurance Middle East, Aldar, GEMS Education, Canadian Embassy in the UAE, KAUST as examples, as well as with UAE-based ministries. She was a former podcast host for “A world of wellbeing” in partnership with Gallup (Washington, DC) and the Global Wellbeing Initiative, as well as the 2024 host of a wellbeing series by AGYA, the Arab German Young Academy of Sciences and Humanities. Dr. Louise is also the Editor of the Middle East Journal of Positive Psychology, a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to regional wellbeing.
