Dr. Mohamed Abdelghani is one of the most renowned psychiatrists in London, specializing in the treatment of depression. He is credited with being one of the driving forces behind introducing innovative evidence-based treatments to clinical practice in the UK.

Dr. Abdelghani is a Past President of the Clinical TMS Society (CTMSS), the largest TMS medical society worldwide. The society is dedicated to optimizing clinical practices, raising awareness, and enhancing accessibility to Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy. In 2022, he became the first person from outside the USA to be elected as president of the society. Before that, he held various leadership positions in the CTMSS, including Vice-President and Secretary, and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2017.

He is a founding member of the Foundation for Advancement of Clinical TMS (FACTMS) and currently serves on its board. Additionally, he holds the position of Chair of the Clinics Expansion Committee within FACTMS.

In 2016, Dr. Abdelghani founded the first clinical TMS service in the NHS in London at North London NHS Foundation Trust (formerly Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust), and he continues to lead this service. He has worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the NHS since 2013 and specifically as a consultant psychiatrist at North London NHS Foundation Trust in Central London since 2014. He has received two clinical excellence awards from the Trust for his contributions to improving NHS services and providing high-quality care.

Dr. Abdelghani established his private practice, Nurify Medical (formerly Dyad Medical), on Harley Street in London in 2015. Apart from providing general psychiatric services, Nurify Medical offers innovative interventional psychiatry treatment modalities, including TMS. In 2020, he became the first psychiatrist in the UK to treat a patient using Esketamine nasal spray in the private sector. His pioneering work also involved treating patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease using Transcranial Pulse Stimulation (TPS). He accomplished this by establishing an Old Age clinical pathway at Nurify Medical in 2022, named the London Alzheimer’s Clinic. Nurify Medical was the first facility in the UK to offer this groundbreaking treatment to patients with Alzheimer’s disease.

Dr. Abdelghani is actively involved in TMS clinical research with the goal of enhancing the efficiency and accessibility of TMS treatment for different patient groups. He served as the London Principal Investigator for the BRIGhTMIND TMS Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT), the largest TMS clinical trial conducted in the UK.
