Dr. Youssef Idaghdour is an Associate Professor of Biology and Director of the Public Health Research Center at New York University Abu Dhabi. Dr. Idaghdour completed his MSc in Molecular Genetics in the UK, and a Ph.D. in Genetics in the US under a Fulbright Scholarship. He received a Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship and became part of a large program in medical genomics in Canada prior to joining New York University Abu Dhabi where he established an international research program on population and medical genomics of complex traits. His current work focuses on malaria, gene-environment interactions, lifestyle genomics and cardiometabolic health. Dr. Idaghdour is the recipient of the 2022 New York University Abu Dhabi Faculty Distinguished Service Award and the Times Higher Education Best 2023 Research Project Award.
